Egypt's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood called the government to mark January 25th as a national holiday and a day of remembrance to honor the revolution's martyrs and victims. The party also called, in a press statement, on all Egyptian political forces to focus on the parliament role for the coming phase, stressing the need to represent the whole society in the constituent assembly that will form the new Constitution. In another context, the party stressed the role of the Advisory Council is to be limited to provide advice to the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF), as its role shouldn’t be expanded. In addition, the party emphasized the importance of SCAF's commitment to the schedule of handing over the power, after the joint session of the People’s Assembly and the Shura Council.
