Mecca - Arab Today

As many as 107 pilgrims have been killed and 238 more wounded in a crane collapse in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, according to the latest figures.

The crane fell Friday due to heavy rains and winds that hit the holy lands.

Prince Khaled al Faysal, the governor of Mecca, has ordered that all care be provided for the injured.

A panel will be formed to investigate the accident.
