The Secretary General of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), the political wing of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, Mohamed Saad El-Katatny denied what was reported about setting visualization of the Constituent Assembly that will form the new constitution in Egypt. El-Katatny said in a press statement, that FJP’s member Ahmed Abu Baraka’s statement about the Constituent Assembly was only a ‘proposal’, like any other proposal that the party receives and discusses; stressing that FJP will never set visualization of forming the new constitution without an agreement with Egypt’s political forces, and will be announced by the leaders of the party in an official statement. He also clarified that Ahmed Abu Baraka is not the legal adviser of the Freedom and Justice Party, nor is he the party’s spokesperson.
