The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, announced that the EU is ready to send a mission to monitor the Algerian legislative elections, scheduled to be held in May 4, 2017.
A statement, issued after the meeting between Mogherini and Algerian Foreign Minister ,Ramtane Lamamra, on Wednesday, in Broscal, revealed that the European Union is ready to send a mission of experts to monitor the elections .
"The head of European diplomacy responded positively to the call of Lamamra on the January 22 to follow up the legislative elections, scheduled to be held in May 4, 2017, in Algeria," the EU statement said.
