A Lebanese security source told Arabstoday that a gang consisting of at least four Iraqi members was behind the abduction of two Saudi citizens who were abducted on the outskirts of Beirut. The source revealed that security forces have arrested three of the four known members. The men were identified as Ahmed al-Ali and Nassim al-Zorqani, and a girl called Abeer was also found to be part of the gang. The fourth member, now a fugitivem is called al-Hadi Abdullah. The source refused to rule out the involvement of Syrian members in the gang, preferring to wait for an official investigation. He also refused to divulge more details about the circumstances of the arrest before apprehending the fourth fugitive member of the gang. The source said it is still unknown whether the abduction had a political background or if it was just for money, as the kidnappers have demanded ransom of $600,000.
