The Islamic State (ISIS) militants executed an Iraqi military officer in Mosul on Monday. According to sources, the executed officer had been working in the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and the ISIS militants have killed him for cooperation with the government security leaders.
On the other hand, a security source said that the Armed Forces supported by the Al-Hashd Al-Sha'abi (Popular Mobilization Forces) are preparing to liberate Mahlbah city held by ISIS, west of Mosul.
The source added that a number of Iraqi troops were deployed near Mahlbah, in preparation to enter the city.
