The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation is carrying out an iftar project in 18 Afghan provinces to benefit about 277,000 fasting people throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
The initiative was directed by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and is being followed by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and President of the Foundation.
An official source at the foundation said the iftar banquets host about 9,545 people a day, or 276,805 throughout the month of Ramadan.
