The Lebanese army continued on Sunday for the second day in a row its offensive on Daesh militants in an enclave on the border with Syria.
In the "Jroud Dawn" operation, the Lebanese troops shelled Jroud and Ras Balebek on the northeast border from all directions, according to well-informed sources.
They retook several heights from the terrorist group, said the sources.
The first day of fighting left 20 Daesh terrorist dead, said the army.
