The Daesh fighting operation room in Sabratha, affiliated to Libya’s unity government, showed a great responsibility in restoring the security to the city in coordination with security and military bodies, Libyan presidential council chief Fayez al-Sarraj said Friday.
In a tweet, Sarraj expressed appreciation to the operation room and the positive developments in the city.
Earlier, Libyan army spokesperson Ahmed Al Mesmari praised the coordination between the Daesh fighting operation room and the army’s general command to expel the militant group from the city.
Meantime, the sound of gunfire was heard in a Tripoli street, according to a news website. No more details were available on the incident.
