Seven political movements have called to organise a series of marches and events Wednesday for the release of the detainees of the revolution. The first march will be launched in front of the High Court, next to the headquarters of parliament in Kasr al-Ainy Street, in order to push for the detainees release. The political movements involved in the march, have confirmed in a press statement that the process is the: "first step on the path of escalating protests, as well as the last opportunity that will be granted for parliament to prove which side it belongs to, the peoples or the authorities’ side." The statement added: "after four months of the first session of parliament, which is supposed to be the parliament of revolution and is expected to lead the country in a better direction, we were surprised by its weak performance in dealing passively with the crises. Parliament only condemns and deplores, without taking decisions or serious reforms towards tackling any problem or crisis, such as Mohammed Mahmoud Street and Port Said. If these crisis happened in any other country without the same level of inaction taken, then governments would collapse". The movements calling for the march are the free front for peaceful change, the alliance of revolutionary forces, the second Egyptian revolution movement, the revolution youth Federation , the April 6 movement , the Democratic Front and “Kefaya”-Enough-movement.
