Mauritania:Government needs to defend Muslims

The Mauritanian Social Democratic Unionist Party said that its government did not observe the rights and considerations of the Arab and Muslim nation. The party said: “American’s government used around 70 vetoes up till today against our people and sanctities in occupied Palestine and spearheaded all projects hostile to our Arab and Islamic nation.” In a statement to Arabstoday, the party condemned what was described as a criminal and shameful act by the US against Islam. The party said: “The United Stated of America, controlled by a Zionist lobby constantly thirsty for the blood of Arabs and Muslims and going to lengths to harm them morally and financially, was only viewed as the barbaric, arrogant enemy that occupies our land, desecrates our holy places, violates our honoured sanctities, and steals our resources.” The party also reminded people about Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo and other prisoners who were humiliated by the US. The party also said that the Arabs and Muslims need to stand up to America and its allies instead of falling into their trap.
