Dr. Mahmoud Ghozlan, the media spokesman of the Muslim Brotherhood, affirmed that the group suggested to the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) to form a new national government and said that they are waiting for the Military Council's response. Ghozlan stated in a press release that the Muslim Brotherhood will reconsider Khairat Al-Shater's decision about his refusal to form a new government during his interview with "Bela Hodoud" (With No Limits) programme on Al-Jazeera television. A source from the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) said that the party leader Mahmoud Morsi will not be appointed for the head of the government's role, and that Al-Shater will be nominated instead. Moreover, the source confirmed that there are reservations within the group for Mahmoud Morsi's taking over the presidency of the government, as he is the party leader.
