Nepal government led by KP Sharma Oli has fallen under minority on Friday after the no-confidence motion was registered in the Parliament against him.

CPN Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal tabled the no-confidence motion in the Parliament with the support of two hundred one parliamentarians of 13 parties. His proposal has been backed by Nepali Congress, the largest party in the Parliament.

Right after the proposal in House session, the political parties have started discussion on no-confidence motion that will run till Sunday.

Addressing the House session, Dahal came down heavily upon the Prime Minister Oli accusing him of failing to promote national unity owing to his self-centric and egoistic working style.

Stating that Oli tried to breach the past agreements, Dahal claimed that the Prime Minister was not serious at all in concluding the peace process.

"The nation is in urgent need of national unity. There is no alternative of unity among us", Dahal said while addressing the session for nearly one hour.

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress also took time in the House session to support the no-confidence motion saying that it was necessary as the incumbent government did not pay any heed to the concerns raised by the major opposition party.

Both the parties regarded the change in government as a beauty of democratic system.

PM Oli had become the head of the Nepal government before nine months with the support of CPN Maoist Center, the then Unified CPN Maoist, under the leadership of Dahal himself.

However, the CPN Maoist Center decided to withdraw the support from the government last week expressing dissatisfaction.

Earlier, CPN Maoist Center and Nepali Congress have already decided to lead the new government on the rotation basis. However, the speculations are high that Dahal will be the next Prime Minister of the Himalayan nation.

Meanwhile, the parliament has rejected the three bills related to the fiscal budget of 2073-74 BS as the parties voted against the bills. The three disapproved bills are Financial Bill, National Debt Recovery Bill and Debt and Guarantee Bill.
