Oman's Foreign Ministry announced that a French citizen, who was held captive in Yemen almost a year ago, was freed on Monday night and taken to Muscat.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Yemen confirmed in a tweet that its employee, Nourane Houas, had been freed.
The Omani Foreign Ministry said her release was secured "at the request of the French authorities", and in coordination between concerned bodies in the Sultanate and Yemeni parties.
