Yemeni military sources have revealed that Yemeni president Abdrabuh Mansour Hadi has moved the leader of the Yemeni Presidential Guard, the nephew former President Ali Abdallah Saleh, to be the leader of the Republican Guard's third brigade forces. The sources said that Hadi appointed Colonel Abd Rabu Meaiad as the new leader for the Presidential Guard forces, while Saleh's nephew Tareq Mohammed Abdallah Saleh was moved to be the leader of the strongest and armed brigade in the Republican Guard. Yemeni national observers expect the decision to complicate the internal political situation in Yemen, saying keeping Saleh's relatives in leading positions in the Yemeni army could only escalate the political tension in the Gulf country.
