President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a cable of condolences to Tsugunomiya Akihito, the Emperor of Japan, expressing his sincere condolences and sympathies on the earthquake that struck the south-western island of Kyushu causing many deaths and injuries.
President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa also expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery, and Japan a quick recovery from the effects of this natural disaster.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also sent similar cables to the Emperor of Japan.
Their Highnesses also sent cables of condolences to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the occasion.
