Sources close to Palestinian authorities in Ramallah told Arabstoday prime minister Salam Fayyad is to organize a reshuffle of his government in the next few days. These change come amid talks to organize a Palestinian unity government with Hamas scheduled to be announced in February. Sources said four ministries would be affected by the change which include economy, labour, agriculture and justice posts. The news comes on the back of the recently announced resignations of three of Fayyad’s ministers in his caretaker government. Ahmed Mjdalani, Hassan Abu Lebda and Deig Ismail presented their resignations to Dr Fayya earlier this week prompting talk of a reshuffle and major changes to the current structure of Palestinian politics over the next few months.
