News about the health Mustafa Abdul Jalil’s – the head of the National Transitional Council – has spread throughout Benghazi. Rumours have it that Abdul Jalil has been admitted to a hospital in the eastern city of Benghazi. The rumours say that he suffered an ailment Saturday morning and was transferred to ahealth centre in Bengahzi to undergo medical tests. The sources have said that Abdul Jalil suffered a drop in his blood pressure. However, the sources did not confirm whether Abdul Jalil will leave the hospital Saturday, saying: “the decision is up to the doctors supervising his case.” Arabstoday conducted a telephone call with someone from the media office of the medical centre that Abdul Jalil was admitted to in Beghazi; teh source confirmed that Abdul Jalil was admitted to the intensive care unit, and that the security prevented journalists from approaching the room. The source, who wished to remain anonymous, explained to Arabstoday that there is a strong rumour that Abdul Jalil suffered a heart attack. However some doctors say that Abdul Jalil is just being subjected to some simple medical examinations of his blood pressure and sugar levels.
