The assistant of the Minister of the Interior for Ismailia's security, Major General Mohamed Eid denied there was any attempt to blow up ships in the Suez Canal and said the news that was published on a news site is completely false. He added that they did not arrest any criminals in possession of explosives attempting to blow up a ship passing through the Suez Canal as was published. Eid reassured that the Suez Canal is totally secured and is on the highest security level and has a special security administration. El-Salam Bridge “Peace Bridge” is also strictly secured by bomb disposal experts, sniffer dogs and metal detectors that checks all ferries and roads through the entire route.
