The Syrian government has admitted through state news agency SANA that a "terrorist group" on Sunday attacked a military air base in Aghannto, Homs countryside, to steal weapons and military equipment. SANA however denied that the attackers had taken control of the air base. The General Authority of the revolution stated that regime forces prevented doctors from attending to a group of journalists injured in Homs. Meanwhile rebels of the Alshaitat Battalion in Homs said that they were able to secure the border of Hagana. At the same time, the neighbourhood of Abbasiyyin in Damascus witnessed violent clashes in the early hours of Monday, according to the Syrian Media Centre which explained that the clashes took place near the Russian experts' building. The centre also appealed for international observers to help doctors access the Hamidiya district in Homs to rescue the victims of recent bombings.
