Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, head of Egypt’s ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF), has toured Cairo's Tahrir Square on Sunday in his army car. Eyewitnesses told ‘Arabstoday’ they saw Tantawi touring the square without leaving his car. Separately Egypt’s newly-appointed Prime Minister Kamal Al-Ganzouri, held a meeting in his office at the Ministry of Planning with five young people from Tahrir square saying he wanted to reach out to people from across society for the benefit of the homeland. The new prime minister stressed that he will endeveur to meet Egyptians' needs during the remainder of the transitional period, calling on people to stand together and cooperate with him. The five young people called for a rapid trial for every official responsible of the Mohammed Mahmoud Street clashes on November 19.
