US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson
Washington - MENA

The US-led coalition against Daesh will continue its campaign to deny the terrorist group a safe haven anywhere, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said on Friday, after the liberation of Syria's Raqqa.

The Coalition will continue its relentless campaign to deny Daesh safe haven anywhere in the world, and sever its ability to recruit, move foreign terrorist fighters, transfer funds, and spread false propaganda over the internet and social media, Tillerson was quoted by the Voice of America as saying.

"We are confident that we will prevail and defeat this brutal terrorist organization," he said.

He said that the liberation of Raqqa by the Syrian Democratic Forces with the support from the US-led international coalition is a "critical milestone".
