Tunisia is hosting on Friday a trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Libya and Tunisia, in which the countries will explore ways to support economic cooperation to coordinate their positions on Arab and international developments. Diplomatic sources told Aarbstoday that the meeting would address economic integration and trade between the three countries, expecting that the meeting would come up with a joint project on the Syrian crisis that would be communicated in the upcoming Arab summit. In addition, the meeting will discuss how to strengthen cooperation in the matter of border control between the three countries, particularly after the Libyan Prime Ministe warned neighbouring countries of the danger of what he called “conspiracies” being plotted by the followers of the former regime who fled to adjacent countries. Tunisia and Libya in January signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the areas of security, counter-terrorism and border control.
