Amman - Xinhua

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Wednesday called for stopping bloodshed in Syria and halting all military operations in the country, Jordan's state-run Petra news agency reported. At a joint press conference with Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh in Jordan's capital of Amman, Davutoglu called for withdrawing soldiers from all the Syrian cities and stressed his country's support for the demands of the Syrian people. The press conference was held after a meeting between Davutoglu and Judeh, during which the two foreign ministers also looked into the latest developments of the Middle East peace process. The Turkish foreign minister underlined the need for placing pressure on Israel to create in an independent Palestinian state within a maximum of one year. The Arab-Israeli conflict will aggravate if no solution is found to it, said Davutoglu.
