The General Consulate of the UAE in Sao Paulo has started its Iftar project for 2016, which is financed by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
The UAE Consul General in Sao Paulo Saleh Ahmed Al Suwaidi said during a meeting with the Imams of mosques and heads of Islamic centres in Sao Paulo that the project will provide 7,000 Iftar meals in 14 mosques and Islamic centres, in addition to a programme to provide Iftar meals to the Syrian refugees in the state.
The Imams and heads of Islamic centres praised the Khalifa Foundation's continuous support and prayed for good health and longevity to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
