Union for Mediterranean meeting starts in Cairo
Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives Aly Abdel Aal

A meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean kicked off here Saturday under Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives Aly Abdel Aal.
Representatives of the European Parliament, as well as the Italian and Turkish parliaments, are attending the meeting.
Participants will discuss measures to ease work of the Assembly, which is led this year by Egypt.
An expanded meeting will take place later in the day.
Egypt is set to review efforts to fight terrorism in the EuroMed region during the meeting.
