A Criminal court in Tunisia sentenced a Tunisian youth to jail on Thursday over charges of being involved in "terrorist operations abroad", judicial sources said to Arabstoday. They didn't reveal the young man's identity or the terms of his jail sentence. The convicted man was arrested earlier and accused of recruiting Tunisian youth to join the Free Syrian Army. He was allegedly responsible for transferring them to Syria through the Turkish borders. The Free Syrian Authority earlier revealed that many Tunisian men -mostly conservative Islamists- have joined them. Earlier in October, four Tunisian nationals were reported killed in clashes between rebel groups and Assad’s army. The four Tunisians were identified as: Majid Semeisem, Abdelsalam Sharif, Ahmed Maznouk, and the leading figure in the al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, Seifeddine Naili, who was accused of committing terrorist attacks in six countries of the Sahel region.
