Crews have recovered 75 bodies from wreckage of an Air France airplane that crashed off Brazil two years ago, the French victims' association said Tuesday. The remains haven't been identified, the association's vice president, Robert Soulas, told CNN. Air France Flight 447 crashed into the Atlantic Ocean June 1, 2009, killing all 228 people aboard. Robot submarines found the bulk of the wreckage in an underwater mountain range earlier this year. At the time of the discovery, investigators said many of the bodies were in the fuselage. Only about 50 bodies were recovered in the days following the crash. Soulas said he received the news about the recovery from a French government liaison appointed to deal with families of victims. "Personally, I would have preferred to leave the bodies of our loved ones on the seafloor," he said, repeating his long-held view.
