Eight army and security martyrs on Monday were escorted from Homs Military Hospitals to their final resting place in their cities and villages after they were targeted by armed terrorist groups in Hama and Homs while they were in the line of duty. The martyrs are: - Chief Warrant Officer Nour Qarout from Homs. - Chief Warrant Officer Haitham Wajih Qatfa from Hama. - Sergeant Lwai Ahmad Dib from Quneitra. - Sergeant Samer Muneer Younes from Hama. - Conscript Basheer Hassan al-Abd from Homs. - Conscript Mustafa Mohammad Qanwati from Aleppo. - Conscript Mohammad Ibrahim Bacco from Hasaka. - Conscript Muneer Marwan Mobayyd from Homs. Solemn processions were held for the martyrs as they were covered with the national flag and flowers carried up on shoulders while the Military Band was playing the music of the "Martyr" and the "Farewell". Relatives of the martyrs expressed pride in their sons' martyrdom who sacrificed their lives to preserve the security and stability of the homeland. They underlined that Syria will beat its enemies thanks to its people's awareness and sacrifice, providing their souls for the sake of homeland.
