Advocacy group for Victims of Terrorism wary of terror escalation The Advocacy group in a statement to mark the anniversary of murder of ten Iranian diplomats in Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan sympathized with the families of the victims. The statement condemned the terrorist action by the Taliban terrorists. “The anti-human measure ran counter to the international and diplomatic conventions, especially Vienna Convention 1961, while the so-called advocates of human rights showed no reaction toward such a cold-blood crime,” it added. The group expressed surprise that the so-called advocates of human rights are currently involved in negotiations with Taliban terrorists and said that such talks have made no change in the terrorist group’s attitudes. The statement further added that terrorism is an excuse in the hands of western countries to attack a country one day and make compromise on the other day. This is while terrorism is condemned in any form and any time and place, it said, noting that the main factor behind curbing terrorism is development of cooperation among the nations and international institutions to counter the evil phenomenon in line with the international laws, the statement said.
