Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday for a two-day state visit, upon the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. During his visit, he would hold discussions with the Indian PM and the latter would host a dinner in his honour. This is Karzai''s second visit to India, and carries forward the high-level engagement between the two countries, said an official statement issued by the country''s Ministry of External Affairs. It added that the visit provides an opportunity for both countries to consolidate their strategic partnership and discuss bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest. Besides, President Karzai is also scheduled to deliver the "Third R. K. Mishra Memorial Lecture" organized by Observer Research Foundation (ORF) tomorrow in the Indian Capital.
