Arab League Secretary-General Nabil el-Araby met with international leaders on Friday in an attempt to rally support and votes for the Palestinian request for full United Nations membership of a Palestinian state, according to a statement issued Saturday by the Arab League. El-Araby met with President of Kyrgyzstan, Roza Otunbayeva, along with the Spanish, Norwegian; Swedish, and Kazakhstan foreign ministers, said the statement. He stressed in his meetings the importance of accepting a Palestinian state based on 1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital as full UN member state.
