Minister of Interior Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa received outgoing Commander of US Naval Forces Central Command and Commander of the Fifth Fleet Vice Admiral Kevin M. Donegan who introduced his successor Vice Adm. John Aquilino on Monday.
The Meeting was also attended by Deputy Interior Minister, Shaikh Talal bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan and Commander of the Coast Guard, Brigadier Alaa Siyadi.
The minister commended Vice Admiral Donegan’s efforts to reinforce relations between Bahrain and the US as well as cooperation in various fields.
He wished the best to Vice Admiral John Aquilino in his new post for the best interests of the two countries. The meeting focused on bilateral ties between the two countries, security cooperation and topics of common interest.
