Bahrain's envoy praises al Azhar's efforts in serving Islam, promoting peace

Bahrain's Ambassador to Egypt Rashid Bin Abdel Rahman al Khalifa hailed Grand Imam of Al Azhar Dr Ahmed el Tayyeb's efforts in serving Islam along with promoting the culture of dialogue and peace.
This came during Tayyeb's meeting with the ambassador at the headquarters of al Azhar.
The grand imam asserted the strength of relations binding Al Azhar and Bahrain and expressed appreciation of the Bahraini king's role in supporting the Arab identity.
We need to protect our youths from the mounting threats of extremism, al Tayyeb said.
For his part, Bahrain's ambassador extended the regards of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the grand imam.
