Belarus Ambassador in Cairo Sergei Rachkov hailed the successful visit of Belarusian Trade Minister Vladimir Koltovich to Egypt.
Koltovich discussed with Egyptian Trade Minister Tarek Qabil means of enhancing bilateral ties, Rachkov said in statements to MENA Wednesday.
Koltovich and Qabil chaired the Egyptian-Belorussian trade committee meetings.
The two ministers witnessed the inking of several cooperation deals between the two countries.
Egypt and Belarus inked a cooperation protocol in the industrial domain as well as a cooperation agreement between the private sectors of both sides.
Also, the Egyptian International Trade Point signed a memo with the Belarusian National Center for Marketing and Price Study.
Egypt and Belarus signed a cooperation protocol for enhancing trade and economic relations.
The protocol aims at enhancing cooperation to expedite launching talks on establishing an Egyptian-Eurasian free trade zone.
The two countries agreed also to cooperate in the fields of agriculture, tourism and construction.
The volume of trade exchange between the two countries stood at 186 million dollars in 2015, 50 percent each.
