Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, sent a cable Saturday to his Spanish counterpart, Ana Maria Pastor Julian, confirming Lebanon's support for Spain's unity.
"On behalf of the Lebanese Parliament, I offer our sincere support for a united and strong Spain in confronting the dangers and challenges arising from the events related to the declaration of Catalan independence," Berri stated in his cable.
"We firmly stand in favor of respecting the Constitution as a means for maintaining a unified and strong Spain," the Speaker asserted
