Bodies of 2 French slain in Argentina arrive in Paris

The bodies of two French women who were found shot to death in a nature preserve in Argentina arrived at Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport on Wednesday, officials there said. Argentine authorities this week began questioning suspects in the killing of two French tourists, after detaining seven people in connection with the murders. The bodies of university students Houria Moumni, 24, and Cassandre Bouvier, 29, were discovered by hikers on July 29 in a nature reserve overlooking the northern city of Salta. One of the women was shot in the head and apparently sexually abused. The other was shot in the back, and two witnesses have told investigators they heard gunshots on July 16 near where the bodies were found. Police found the .22 caliber weapon allegedly used in the shootings on Saturday in the home of a neighbor of one of the suspects.
