Cuban President Raul Castro said on Thursday that enhancing ties between Havana and Tehran will pave the way for flourishing of both countries and fighting global arrogance. President Raul Castro made the remarks in a meeting with the Islamic Republic of Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi in Havana. Referring to Iran’s role in fighting hegemonies of arrogant powers, President Castro said that expansion of ties between Cuba and Iran can be effective in increasing the alliance of nations fighting against the colonialist powers. Islamic Republic of Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi for his part said that Iran and Cuba play an effective role in boosting the unity of independence-seeking nations. “Today the world is changing and oppressors are collapsing at a time when Iran and Cuba can play an effective role in boosting the unity of independence-seeking nations,” Rahimi said while terming fighting the colonial regimes and seeking independence as two secrets for victory of freedom-seeking and independent nations. He said that Islamic Republic of Iran is ready for all-out expansion of ties with Cuba, as well as transferring its experiences to that country.
