Czech Ambassador in Cairo Veronika Kuchynov? hailed as excellent relations between Egypt and the Czech Republic, saying the two countries have friendship ties at all levels.
There is cooperation between Cairo and Prague in several fields, including trade, education, industry and culture, Kuchynov? told MENA on the anniversary of the Czech national day that will fall on Monday.
She also asserted the continuity of bilateral political visits, expressing hope that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi would visit Prague soon.
On that score, Kuchynov? noted that political consultations recently held in Cairo between Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Martin Tlapa and Egypt’s Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Ehab Nasr were fruitful and tackled bilateral relations as well as regional issues of mutual concern.
Tlaba also held talks with officials at the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Military Production on means of boosting bilateral cooperation and trade exchange, she indicated.
As for trade relations, the Czech diplomat said Czech exports to Egypt registered $145 million during January-August 2017, while Egypt’s exports to Prague recorded $52 million in the same period.
