Arab Today, arab today Dar Al Ifta: Closure of Myanmar's mosques racist crimes

Egyptian Dar Al Ifta
Cairo - Arab Today

The Islamophobia Observatory of the Egyptian Dar Al Ifta condemned on Thursday Myanmar authorities' decision to close two mosques in the country.

The authorities also banned Muslims from praying in the mosques and arrested any worshipers who try to pray in them.

In a press release, the observatory said that such acts are racist and hostile to Muslims of Myanmar, adding that such acts violate all international norms and laws.

The observatory also called on the international community to face such racist acts and oppression practiced against the Muslims of Myanmar.

About 10 million Muslims are living in Myanmar in which they reflect 15 percent of the population of Myanmar.
