The Scotland Yard has announced the Arab whose remains were found in the Dorchester Hotel in London about two weeks ago is a Kuwaiti citizen, reports a local Kuwaiti daily. Earlier, the police had refused throughout to disclose the name of the victim under the pretext of not knowing his true identity, only saying the remains of a wealthy Arab tourist had been found — without mentioning, the authorities were awaiting the arrival of the next of kin to London to identify the body. Police said the coroner who inspected the corpse is not convinced that the man has died of natural causes and the remains have been sent to Forensics.
Meanwhile, it has been reported police arrested and released on bail two suspects, whose identities have not been revealed, until the end of Forensic Medicine report to determine the cause of death. However, the results will come after seven weeks. It has been reported the coroner is still not convinced that the death is natural and that means the suspects will be interrogated especially since the police have information that the two men were linked to the deceased.
A British newspaper said Sunday the detectives are examining the CCTV footage from Dorchester as part of their investigations. The Dorchester confirmed an incident had taken place and said it was working with police to help them with their inquiries. The death remains ‘unexplained’ but police are not ruling out murder
