The Egyptian Foreign Ministry congratulated newly-elected president of Central African Republic Faustin-Archange Touadéra.
In a press release, the ministry greeted the people of the African country on hold the presidential elections in calm-prevailed conditions.
Cairo shows support for the new leader to bring about national accord and to meet his people's aspirations, added the statement.
The polls were held on February 14.
