Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri held a meeting at Sharm al-Sheikh with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations binding Egypt and France, focusing on the crises in Libya and Syria, in addition to the situation in Iraq and the future of the peace process in the occupied territories in the aftermath of the Palestinian reconciliation agreement.
The French minister reiterated his country’s keenness on constant coordination and consultation with Egypt regarding all regional and international issues.
He expressed support to Egypt in its war against terrorism, affirming his country’s resolve to step up efforts with Cairo to confront the terror scourge in the Middle East.
