The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, distributed Eid sacrifices to the families of martyrs and those injured on Friday across the Hadhramaut governorate, as part of the 'Zayed Legacy to Support Yemeni People' campaign on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
The campaign is in line with President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, directives to support the people of Yemen The 'Zayed Legacy to Support Yemeni People' campaign is being implemented under the framework of the desire of the wise leadership, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to support the people of Yemen, and provide comfort to the families of martyrs and those injured. The campaign's progress is followed up by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, to ensure aid distribution is implemented effectively, continuing the momentum of the UAE's philanthropic legacy of good and giving.
Launched on 16th August, the campaign aims to provide Eid sacrifices and clothing, as well as gifts and cash, until the third day of Eid, in the various Yemeni governorates.
Ahmed Al Neyadi, Head of the ERC Team in Hadramaut, said that the campaign's progress has been successful. He also thanked volunteers and team members who assisted in the distribution of the relief aid.
The families of martyrs and those injured expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the UAE’s leadership, government and people for supporting the residents of Hadhramaut, and Yemen in general, on the auspicious occasion.
