Vice - President of the Republic, Hassabo Mohamed Abdul-Rahman, Saturday met with the Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, on the sidelines of the IGAD summit in Nairobi and conveyed to him a verbal message from the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, which included thanks to President Museveni for his efforts in the release of the Sudanese hostages and realization of peace in Sudan.
In a press statement, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Kamal-Eddin Ismail, said that President Museveni has pledged to do more efforts for achieving peace in Sudan.
He said that the meeting has discussed a number of issues and the situation in South Sudan and Somalia and the importance of realization of peace in the two countries.
