HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani left the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on Tuesday morning after a two-day state visit, heading to the Republic of Kenya.
HH the Emir was seen off upon departure at Bole International Airport by HE the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn.
HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information and Technology Dr. Debretsion Gebremichael, HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hirut Zemene, HE Qatar's Ambassador to Ethiopia Abdulaziz Sultan Al Rumaihi, HE Ethiopia's Ambassador to Qatar Mesganu Arga Moach, senior official and the Qatari Embassy staff members were also at the airport to bid farewell to HH the Emir.
HH the Emir sent two cables to the President and to the Prime Minister of Ethiopia to express his sincere thanks and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to him and the accompanying delegation during the visit which was an opportunity to exchange views on issues of mutual concern and ways of enhancing and bolstering relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries in all fields to serve the interests of the two peoples, wishing the best of health to the President and to the Prime Minister of Ethiopia and further progress and prosperity to the Ethiopian people.
