High Islamic council to discuss peace efforts during annual conference

The 27th conference of the High Council for Islamic Affairs will probe this year the role played by political and religious leaders, as well as parliamentarians, academics and media people, to promote peace and fight terrorism, the Egyptian Awqaf Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Committees have been formed to receive research submitted by participants from the different world countries, it said.
The committees will also be tasked with preparing workshops that will be held on the sidelines of the conference, the statement added.
