His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah exchanged cables of greetings with leaders of Arab and Islamic nations on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

His Highness expressed good wishes for the Arab and Islamic nations on the blessed occasion. Meanwhile, the Moon Sighting Authority of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Justice, announced that Monday, June 6, will be the first day of the Muslim Holy Fasting Month of Ramadan for the year 1437, Hijri Calendar. Head of the Authority Justice Youssef Al-Mottawa made the announcement Sunday evening.

His Highness the Amir received cables of congratulations and warm wishes on the Holy Month of Ramadan by a host of top state officials and figures. His Highness the Amir received cables from His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanem, National Guard Chief His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Deputy National Guard Chief Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

In their cables, the state top officials wished His Highness the Amir the best of health and the homeland, the Arab and Muslim world prosperity. His Highness the Amir sent reply cables in which he expressed gratitude for the warm sentiments and prayed God Almighty bless Kuwait with prosperity, stability and security and also bless all peoples of the world with peace. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf also exchanged Ramadan greetings with top state officials.

His Highness the Crown Prince received a congratulatory cable from National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanem. In his cable, Al-Ghanim, on behalf of all National Assembly members, wished His Highness the Crown Prince the best of health and wellbeing as well as prosperity and stability for Kuwait and Arab and Muslim nations. In response, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf sent a cable to Al-Ghanim to thank him of his and all lawmakers’ sincere sentiments, wishing them happy Ramadan and everlasting wellbeing. His Highness Sheikh Nawaf also wished Kuwait and Arab and Muslim nations stability.

Meanwhile, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf sent cables to National Guard Chief His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah and Sheikh Mubarak Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. In his cables, he congratulated Sheikh Salem Al-Ali and Sheikh Mubarak Al-Abdullah on the advent of Ramadan.

He wished them good health and wellness and progress for Kuwait. For their part, they sent reply cables in which they expressed gratitude for the warm sentiments and prayed to the Almighty God to bless Kuwait with prosperity, stability and security and also bless all peoples of the world with peace.

His Highness the Crown Prince also received congratulatory cables from senior sheikhs, Deputy National Guard Chief Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

His Highness Sheikh Nawaf also received cables from cabinet ministers, governors, state officials, diplomats, citizens and expatriates. In response, His Highness sent cables to thank all well-wishers on their good sentiments. He also wished them the best of health and prosperity, security and progress for the homeland, the Arab and Muslim world
