A senior advisor to the Iranian parliament stressed on Tuesday that Iran will never sit to the negotiating table with the Zionist regime since the regime lacks legitimacy and is illegal."We do not recognize the Zionist regime to listen to their words," said Hossein Sheikholeslam, who is also the secretary of the 5th Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada (uprising) to be held in Tehran on October 1-2. He described withdrawal of the Zionists from the occupied Palestinian territories and return of the Palestinian refugees as the best way to solve the Palestinian issue, and said, "We have underlined before and repeat it again that the entire Palestine belongs to the Palestinian people and occupiers should leave the Palestinian land." Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has on many occasions underscored that Tehran would by no means recognize the Zionist regime of Israel and would continue support for the oppressed Palestinian people. "The Iranian nation will never recognize the Zionist regime," Ahmadinejad said, addressing a number of Muslim figures and scholars in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in 2010. Also during his address to the UN members this year, Ahmadinejad blamed the US for opposing Palestinians' bid for UN membership. The Americans want Israel and the Palestinians to resume negotiations, he said, "to enable the Zionists to draw the most benefit from it."At the end of the day, at one point, the Palestinian government will stand up, will be created - if not this year next year, if not next year the following year, because these people do exist," Ahmadinejad said. "They are 10 million strong. You cannot erase them from history."
