Iraq Prime Minister, US Secretary of Defence Discuss Supporting Iraqi Forces

Prime Minister of Iraq Haydar Al Abadi met here on Monday with US Secretary of Defence Ashton Carter, who is currently visiting Iraq.
During the meeting, they discussed strengthening security and military cooperation between the two countries and increasing the international coalition's support to Iraqi troops fighting in Mosul with equipment, armament, training and consulting.
Iraqi joint operations command announced on March 24 the start of the first stage of the 'Operation Conquest' to Retake Mosul from ISIS group, backed by the Iraqi air force and the international coalition.
